Caveat gets to know you in a conversation, then personally introduces you to a few people worth meeting — friends, collaborators, a co-founder, someone new in your city — each with the reason to meet and the honest catch. No swiping, no feed.

A lot of dating apps and event apps are biased towards romantic connections. Platonic connections are just as important if not more important, and I didn't see anything available to help establish that. I also didn't like the swipe on a picture dynamic that always felt off. Instead your interviewed via a conversation with an LLM who takes notes on you (thats private to you) and then used those notes to match you against people in the pool.

How does it actually pick who to introduce me to, just from the conversation or is there some external data it pulls in too?

how does caveat actually pick the people it introduces you to, is it just based on the conversation or is there some matching layer behind it

The "honest catch" framing is a nice touch — felt way more grounded than the usual hype-y intros. The intro I got actually explained why we'd click, which is more than I can say for most matchmaking tools.

The "honest catch" detail is such a nice touch, felt way more real than the usual compatibility scores. I got matched with someone in my area and the reason actually made sense for once.

Love the no-swipe angle and the honest catch part really stands out. One thing that would make me trust the matches more: let me see a quick explanation of why my profile says I would click with someone specific, not just their bio. Even two sentences of reasoning would help me actually show up to that coffee.

Love the idea of meaningful intros over endless swiping. One thing that would make me trust the matches more is a short audio clip or voice intro from each person before I accept the meetup. Hearing someone's tone and laugh tells me way more about chemistry than a bio ever could.

how does it actually pick who to introduce me to, is it just based on what I tell it in the chat or are you pulling in data from my socials too
