I built Carop because I wanted a simple way to keep track of what I already have at home — not just food, but everyday household items too.
What started as a pantry idea grew into something much bigger: barcode and receipt scanning, expiry reminders, recipes, shopping lists, nutrition tracking, family sharing and even neighborhood swaps within 5 km.
