Hi Product Hunt. I build tools for ecommerce operators, and this one started from a pattern I kept seeing: most product pages fail because the buyer still has to guess. Not because the product is bad.
I wrote the checks down. Twelve of them, all rule-based: exact numbers for size and weight, materials, compatibility, who the product is NOT for, shipping timelines, return terms with day counts, FAQ coverage, and a penalty for vague praise like "premium quality."
A few decisions I want to be upfront about:
- It is not AI. It is a fixed set of pattern checks, and the page says so. For this job, deterministic rules beat a model — you get the same score for the same text every time.
- Your text never leaves your browser. The scoring runs entirely client-side.
- The free version shows your score and top 3 gaps. There is a $9 full report if you want every check with rewrite templates — no subscription, no account.
I would love feedback on two things: which checks feel wrong for your niche, and what buying facts you think are missing from the rubric.
Scanned a few product pages through it and the return policy check flagged gaps I genuinely missed. Nice to have a no-frills tool that just points at the missing facts.
