I was absolutely frustrated with how bad iMessage search was. Decided to make a tool to search through it super fast, jump to any date, and find texts buried deep ages ago super fast. This tool helps you find it all.
The native macOS feel here is really well done, it launches and searches faster than I'd expect from anything touching that much iMessage data. Keeping everything fully local is a smart call and clearly the right one for something this personal.
Definitely one of those tools that you didn't know you needed until you start using it. It's baffling how slow iMessage's own searching is
the local-only approach is exactly the right call for something handling message history, and i love that it doesn't even try to phone home. feels snappy on my macbook too.
