I built BrowserOCR for documents that should not have to cross a network just to become searchable text. The OCR models, image decoding, and PDF page rendering all run in the browser, and the work is moved off the main thread so the interface stays responsive. There is a fast model for routine jobs and a larger accuracy model when text is harder to read. The latest release also makes the complete interface available in English, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, and Indonesian while preserving the same page during language changes. I would especially value feedback on difficult scans, table-to-Markdown output, and the clarity of the local-processing explanation.
