I built Brezy because I spend all day in front of a screen, and the sky outside my window was the only thing that ever changed. So I brought it onto my desktop.
Brezy is a small macOS menu bar app that layers living weather over your wallpaper: rain with real splashes, rain-on-glass, snow, fog, autumn leaves, cherry blossoms, fireflies, aurora, rainbows, sun & moon rays, even soft distant thunder. It's tuned to stay calm and out of your way while you work.
A few things I obsessed over:
• 13 hand-tuned scenes, plus you can save up to 20 of your own
• Opt-in scene-aware ambient sound - day birds, night crickets, spatial reverb
• Wallpapers that match each scene, with the live particles connected to the art
• An optional live mode that follows your local sky - your desktop rains when it actually rains

Aurora scene on my menu bar looked way better than I expected, and the crickets at night are a nice touch without being annoying.
The aurora scene drifting across my desktop feels surprisingly calming, and the thunder audio actually sounds depth-aware when I move my headphones around. Wish the custom scene editor were a bit more flexible, but the stock ones are gorgeous.

The rain scene on my desktop is oddly soothing, especially with the little day-birds sound layered in. Wish more apps cared about this level of atmosphere.

Would love a way to schedule specific scenes for focus blocks, like a quiet snowy drift during deep work and a calmer aurora for wind down time. A simple timeline or time-of-day rule system would make Brezy fit naturally into a workday without me having to swap scenes manually.
