BounceShift
Privacy-first email validation, built for developers
Verify email addresses in real time and catch invalid, disposable, and risky ones before they hurt your deliverability. Multi-layer checks, privacy-first (emails are hashed, never stored), SDKs for PHP/Laravel/Node, and pay-as-you-go credits that never expire.
Hey Product Hunt, I’m Hussam, founder of BounceShift.
BounceShift started after a real deliverability disaster in one of our own products.
Someone managed to access one of our systems and sent spam to a large purchased list of Outlook addresses. Most of the addresses were invalid, so thousands of emails bounced from our domain in a very short time.
AWS suspended our sending account. Outlook blocked our domain. Even our important emails, password resets, invoices, notifications, and customer replies stopped reaching users.
It took us weeks to recover.
The frustrating part was that most of this could have been prevented by validating the addresses before sending.
So we built BounceShift, first to protect our own systems, then as a product for other developers and businesses that depend on email.
What we focused on:
🔍 Multi-layer verification
We check syntax, MX records, SMTP, disposable emails, role-based addresses, catch-all domains, and provider-specific signals, including Microsoft 365 mailbox resolution, instead of relying only on SMTP guesses.
🔒 Privacy by design
Email addresses are stored as one-way hashes. We cannot read them, export them, or sell them.
🧑💻 Built for developers
A simple REST API, clear documentation, and SDKs for PHP, Laravel, and Node.js. Our SDKs fail open, so if validation is temporarily unavailable, it will not block your users from signing up.
💸 Simple pricing
Pay only for what you use. Credits never expire, and there are no monthly minimums.
You can try BounceShift for free with 100 validations and no credit card.
I’d really appreciate your support and honest feedback. 🙏
finally found an email verification tool that doesn't bury the pricing behind a signup wall, and the never-expiring credits are a nice touch. caught a bunch of disposable addresses in my test list right away.
honestly looks solid, the privacy-first hashing approach is a nice touch. one thing that would be super useful is a webhooks option so we can get notified async when an email gets flagged later as disposable or risky, since some of those catch patterns only show up after the fact
hashes never being stored is honestly the detail that sold me on trying it, most verifiers kind of gloss over that part. the pay as you go credits that don't expire are also a nice touch for a side project.
One thing that would be really useful is a built-in bulk CSV uploader with a preview report showing which addresses are risky before you actually validate them, so you can decide whether to spend credits on the whole list.
Love that the credits never expire. So many dev tools guilt-trip you into monthly plans even when you barely use them, but the pay-as-you-go model here just feels respectful. The privacy-first hashing is a nice touch too.
