I'm the solo builder behind blupdf.
The problem I kept running into: changing one line on a PDF a date on an invoice, a number on a contract, a typo on a scanned document either meant paying $20+/month for a bloated editor or fighting a whiteout box that never matched the font.
So I built the thing I wanted: edit any PDF like a text file. Upload a PDF, scan, or screenshot → click any text → retype it. blupdf matches the font, size, and color automatically and exports a clean, searchable PDF. The font matching on scans was the hardest part and the one feature I refused to launch without.
