The Problem & Inspiration: eSIMs are great for travel, but the standard activation process is broken. Most providers force you to scan a QR code. But if you're at the airport with just your phone, how do you scan a QR code displayed on that same phone? You have to borrow a friend's screen, open a laptop, or print a piece of paper. It’s terrible UX.
How my approach evolved: Initially, I was just focused on securing the best global coverage and pricing. But I quickly realized that fixing this "last mile" installation friction was the real value. We shifted our engineering focus to build a true One-Click Installation. Now, you just tap a dedicated iOS or Android button right inside your confirmation email. No second screens, no printed paper, and no separate apps to download.
