I built BGCut because I kept running into the same problem needing to remove a background from a photo quickly, but every tool either wanted me to sign up, had a daily limit, or uploaded my image to a server I didn't fully trust.
So I built a version that runs entirely in your browser using a client-side ML model. No upload, no account, no limit, no watermark just drop a photo and get a transparent PNG back in a few seconds.
It's built with Next.js and @imgly/background-removal. Would love to hear your feedback, especially on edge cases where the cutout doesn't work perfectly still improving it!
