Hi Product Hunt, I'm Sean. I rented my first storage unit this summer and lost track of what was in it within a week. I've spent 24 years as a creative director and I build small iPhone apps on my own, so I built the one I needed.
Basic Bins is a storage inventory that doesn't ask you to type. Photograph each thing as it goes into a box and it names it. Print a QR label from your own printer, stick it on the box, and months later a scan shows everything inside without opening it. Take something out and it shows as out with your name on it, so the "I thought you had it" conversation ends. Share the library with the people you live with. Print an inventory with replacement values by box and location when the insurance company or the movers ask.
There's no account. Everything lives in your own iCloud. The free tier is the whole experience at one location and fifty items, labels and naming included. Premium is $59.99 a year for unlimited everything and household sharing.
