Badgey turns your iPhone into a name badge. On a lanyard, it turns to face the people you meet and swings as you move. In a chest pocket, it shrinks so your name shows above the edge. Several badges, a QR code for your link, five designs.
Hi everyone, I'm Marco. I make small iPhone apps on my own.
Badgey turns your iPhone into a name badge. Clip the phone to a lanyard and turn it upside down: the badge turns round to face the people in front of you and swings a little as you walk. Slide it top first into a chest pocket and it shrinks to a strip, so your name shows above the edge.
The pocket check uses the front camera for a few seconds while the phone is upside down. A small model on the phone decides, and the frames are never stored.
You can keep several badges (work, a conference, a meetup), add a link that turns into a QR code on the back, and choose a design: Classic, Office, Event, Minimal or Live, which moves. It's free with one badge; Pro is a one-time purchase.
I'd love to hear where you'd wear it, and what's missing.
Cool idea, but I would love to see a photo or video of how it looks in a physical setting
A badge that shrinks to a strip in a chest pocket, with the front camera checking for a few seconds, is a clever detail. Does the pocket check run every time you flip the phone upside down?
How long does the battery last with the screen on for a whole conference day? And does it stop the phone from auto-locking?
