Hey everyone, thanks for checking out Astron today.
I built Astron because I was tired of constantly breaking my focus while working. Every time I needed an AI to look something up, research a topic, or run a quick task, I had to open another browser tab, switch windows, and wait around. It felt like my workflow was constantly being interrupted.
I wanted something that acts like a quiet side helper sitting right on the desktop. Something that stays completely out of the way until you actually need it, helps you get things done, and lets you stay in your flow to get more work done faster.
With Astron, you tap a quick shortcut from anywhere, hand off a task, and keep working in whatever app you already have open. It runs quietly in the background on your machine. You only see subtle status dots at the edge of your screen so you know when it is working and when your answer is ready. Your cursor stays in place, and you never have to juggle windows.
The goal here was simple: build a lightweight desktop companion that genuinely increases daily productivity without feeling bloated or noisy.
