hey, i'm jun, co-founder of aside.
so i asked aside to buy groceries. it used my amazon passkey and got the job done. getting past a login screen sounds basic, but it's a big part of making a personal assistant useful.
we're building an AI browser you can hand real work to. it works across the websites you're already signed into, and its built-in password manager can sign it back in without giving the model your raw password. you control which logins it can use.
a few ways to use it:
message it from slack, discord, or telegram. it does the browser work on your computer and replies in the same thread.
turn recurring work into routines, so you don't have to start the same task every morning.
connect the claude pro/max or chatgpt plus/pro subscription you already pay for and use it inside aside.
if you prefer working in claude code or codex, use aside through mcp or cli to give your coding agent browser access.
for me, the interesting tasks are the ones you'd actually hand to an assistant: getting invoices out of a vendor portal, sorting out a refund, or finding an appointment that fits your calendar.
some sites will still need you for verification. that's part of working with real accounts, and we want to be clear about it.

I first tried Aside super early on and it’s the first "AI browser" that gave me the same feeling Arc did when I first tried it in early beta. However, I didn't fully make the switch back then due to some bugs but now the team has improved the reliability by a tonne in such a short period of time... so kudos to the team! 👏
I've daily driven almost all the browsers out there and Aside has got me coming back no matter what. More than the browser itself, the harness is just perfect for getting tasks done!

One of the best new browsers I've used. The transition from Arc/Dia was seamless.
The MCP and CLI make it easy to integrate my agents with it.
The speed at which the team delivers solid features is unreal, I really think this is one of the first examples of AI accelerated app development that's actually useful.
I finally switched my browser after a decade of using the same browser everyday. It is extremely seamless to work with agents while having a better experience for humans.
Been using Aside as my daily browser for about a month now, and out of every AI browser I've tried, this is the one that stuck.
Two things sold me.
First, context. You can connect your existing AI subscriptions or API access, or just use the connection Aside gives you. But the part other browsers miss is that your context actually comes with you. No re-prompting, no exporting a chat to paste somewhere else. It's just there. Second, the AI is opt-in. This works as both a browser and a space for your AI chats, so nothing gets summarized unless I ask for it.
Most AI browsers shove AI into every surface when not everything needs it. Let me type "sulcata tortoise" into the bar and read about tortoises without a popup offering to help. That sounds like a small thing. It isn't.
Profile setup and customization are smooth, and the plugins and connections have been painless.
This browser is going places, and I'm glad to be a customer.
Not a power user yet but definitely a user. Browser automation definitely faster than Claude or comet ppx
I used to drown in bureaucracy. Now if I need something done, I just forward it to Aside.
In about six weeks it’s:
Dealt with Verizon support, canceled my unused watch line, and gotten me another $120/year off my bill.
Sat through five Namecheap agents and over an hour of support chat to get ~$217 refunded, including cleaning up an auto-renew mistake it made.
Canceled subscriptions including a $300/month one, handled DMV appointments and paperwork, updated insurance, and helped untangle tax notices.
The killer feature is impersonation. It becomes you, or at least a version of you that you control. It knows your context, uses your accounts, and can work on several things in parallel or on a schedule. I can hand it the annoying email instead of turning that email into another task I’ll avoid for three weeks.
This is what AGI feels like to me. You can tell the team has put a ridiculous amount of work into making the agent loop fast and persistent. It gets transferred to another department, hits some broken website flow, figures out another way, and keeps going. I still have to step in sometimes, but it’s already become my default way of getting things done.
I started using Aside recently. It's well crafted and secure handoff of passkey is also much needed
I'm on Dia right now and I'd be hard-put to swap (took me ages to move from Arc), but the logged-in account part is the piece Dia doesn't touch. What does that get me that a sidebar doesn't and how do you guys handle profiles (The swiping between profiles is the big reason I'm a DIA/Arc guy)
Passkey and real browser access is what stood out to me here. Most AI browsers can browse but actually getting work done is a different challenge. Aside seems to be taking that seriously. Congrats Jun and team on the launch!
This is actually a pretty cool direction for an AI browser. The passkey part caught my attention because that’s usually where these agent workflows get stuck. Being able to give it real browser tasks and let it handle them is really interesting. Congrats on the launch Jun and team!
I've tried Comet, Dia and Atlas too, but keep coming back to Aside. It feels faster for both research and multi-tab tasks. It actually finish the tasks, not just suggesting some options. Really enjoying it so far. Congrats on the launch!
"it used my amazon passkey and got the job done" is the exact sentence that would make me hesitate, not the one that would sell me. logging in as me and completing a purchase is a big trust jump from a browser that just reads pages for an agent. what's the undo/confirmation story if it buys the wrong quantity or the wrong item entirely - is there a review step before payment actually goes through, or does it just act?
What if the agent faces an ambiguous choice point during the task such as confirming a payment – will it pause to seek approval, or will it continue autonomously? Btw, Congratulations @chanhee , @dora_lee & @therne on the brilliant launch of Aside 🎊🎊
Hands down the best agent product I've used this year since the Codex desktop app. I work in applied AI and Aside is a staple tool I recommend to anyone alongside their primary coding agent. Its the best agentic browser tool on the market.
Wow, that's too much responsibilities we give to bots. How can we be sure they don't abuse access? For example, can we confirm their actions?
