💁♀️Who are we?
I’m Nisha, co-founder of Anise Health, a culturally-responsive digital mental health platform built by and for communities of color, starting with a focus on Asian Americans.
Our web app integrates teletherapy, behavioral coaching, and digital resources into personalized monthly care plans. These services are delivered by a rockstar team of diverse providers who we train to address stressors that impact Asian young adults, such as bicultural tension, perfectionism, discrimination, and intergenerational trauma. Leveraging AI / ML, we match clients to providers, triage clients to the right care plan based on progress measures, and offer tailored diagnostics and ongoing decision support to providers.
TLDR: Imagine finally getting care that actually works for you without having to explain yourself 100x, all from a convenient online platform!
❤️ Why are we doing this?
BIPOC have been overlooked by the existing mental health care system which is built on Eurocentric values. People of Asian descent are 2x more likely to experience anxiety and depression, yet 3x less likely to receive effective care vs the general population. We’re here to change these trends - 90% of our clients see symptom improvements by Week 8 of care.
📝 How does the scholarship work?
The RestorAsian Scholarship will be awarded to 25 lucky recipients to experience the first month (4 sessions) of our unique care model for free. We are currently only able to accept eligible first-time users (ages 18+) residing in CA or NY.
Applying is simple! Follow these two simple steps:
1. Take 5 minutes to submit Anise Health’s intake form asap (follow the link above or go to www.anisehealth.co)
2. Select the “RestorAsian Scholarship” among the drop-down options on the last page when asked “How did you hear about us?”
That’s it! Anise Health will randomly select winners each week in November, and you will be informed within one week of completing your intake form. While you wait for our response, we encourage you to schedule a free trial with your recommended providers!
