My partner and I kept trying to run a shared budget, and kept hitting the same three walls: every app wanted our bank logins (and the connection broke every few weeks), the feed never showed who actually paid for what, and each of us had to pay for a separate subscription.
So we built Amon Budget:
- Who paid is visible. Every entry carries its author, plus a monthly "who contributed what" breakdown.
- A shared shopping list, with a one-tap "I'm at the store" ping to your partner.
- Offline-first. Add expenses on a plane or in a basement; it syncs when you're back.
- No bank credentials, ever. Type it, say it, or photograph the receipt (read on-device).
