I built Algierex because following the Algiers Stock Exchange is painfully hard. Prices, dividends and corporate news are scattered across disconnected PDFs and official notices, with nothing modern, let alone in Arabic and French, to make sense of it.
So I built the tool I wished existed: one place with live prices, portfolio tracking, official news, and the full dividend and IPO calendar for every listed security, on iOS and web, in all three languages.
It started as a simple data viewer and grew into a full pipeline that syncs SGBV and COSOB notices and issuer announcements, translates them across languages, and surfaces what actually matters each trading session, including this year's wave of new tech listings.
Would love your feedback, especially from anyone who has wrestled with frontier or emerging-market data.
Algiers market data in three languages is a big deal, glad someone finally tackled this. One thing that would make it way more useful for me: downloadable CSV exports for price history so I can run my own analysis in Excel or Python instead of just looking at charts on the app.
the parallel vs official DZD spread tracker is genuinely useful, would love to see push notifications when the gap widens beyond a threshold i set.
Finally a clean way to check the Algiers bourse without digging through PDFs. The treasury yield curve overlay is a really nice touch for a market this overlooked.
The Arabic interface support is a huge plus for a market like Algiers. One thing that would really help though is adding alerts when a specific stock hits a price you set, or when COSOB drops a new official notice. Right now you have to keep checking back, but with market opening hours being what they are, push notifications would make it feel much more like a modern trading app and less like a news feed you have to babysit.
