Hold a hotkey, speak, text appears at cursor. AIYO Wisper runs 100% on your Mac using Apple's Neural Engine. 4 model sizes, optional local LLM for cleanup and voice commands. No subscription, no server, no data leaving your machine. Free & open source.
I've been using voice-to-text daily for months — Superwhisper, WhisperFlow, a few others. They're good products. But they either route audio through a server or charge a monthly fee, and at some point I realized local models are genuinely good enough now.
So I built AIYO Wisper for myself. Hold a key, speak, release — text shows up wherever your cursor is. Everything stays on your Mac. There's an optional small LLM that cleans up filler words and can handle voice commands like "translate this" or "make it formal."
It's not a business. There's no account, no telemetry, no plans to monetize. Just ~3,500 lines of Swift that I use dozens of times a day and figured others might find useful too.
If you try it, I'd genuinely love to hear what works and what doesn't.
