A few months ago, I kept coming back to one question:
If someone challenged an AI decision six months later, how would you prove what actually happened?
I expected there to be a standard answer.
There wasn't.
Most AI systems store logs, but logs are controlled by the same company that generated them. If someone asks, "How do I know this wasn't changed?" there usually isn't a simple way to prove it.
