Hi Product Hunt! I’m Val, the creator of Agatha.
I started building Agatha because I wanted an AI agent that felt less like a chat window and more like something you could actually talk to and work with.
Agatha is a voice-first agent that runs locally on my machine. She stays at the center of the conversation, but she doesn’t have to do everything herself. She can delegate specialized work to other models when she needs them.
For the GPT-6 Astra Challenge, I integrated Astra as one of those specialists. In the demo, Agatha delegates a coding task to Astra, and then uses Astra for vision to understand something I simply hold up to the camera. The result comes back into Agatha’s context and the conversation continues naturally.
That reflects one of the main ideas behind the project: agents shouldn’t have to do everything themselves. They should delegate to specialists.
Agatha is open source. This is a real system I’ve been building and using, not a mockup or concept demo, and there’s a lot more I want to explore around voice, vision, tools, memory, and multi-agent delegation.
