a.v.r.i.z is a voice-first AI software engineer on your own cloud dev box. Talk to it from your phone and it writes, runs, tests in a real browser, and deploys your code to a live URL — no laptop, no setup. Unlike editor plugins or chatbots, it's a persistent machine you own, with memory, scheduled tasks, and smart model routing that auto-picks the cheapest capable model so you never overpay. Turn "I have an idea" into "it's live" — spoken into existence, from anywhere.
I wanted to have an economical way to have a ai coding agent without hand rolling it myself so I built a.v.r.i.z to be that. To live in its own EC2 instance and have root access to be secure and cheap to operate
the part I'm stuck on is review, not generation - talking through a feature is one thing, but how do you actually vet what it wrote before it deploys to a live URL? do you get some kind of spoken diff summary, or does "no laptop" quietly become "no laptop until something looks off" once you need to actually read the code it shipped
Does it work with existing repos I already have on GitHub, or do I need to clone everything onto this new dev box first?
How does the persistent memory work across sessions, and can I scope what it actually remembers so it doesn't pull from old projects when I'm starting something totally new?
How does it actually handle testing and debugging when you're not actively talking to it — does it just pause mid-task until you respond?
The lowercase monogram and dotted styling on the name is a sharp touch, feels more like a sci-fi co-pilot than a dev tool. Curious how the voice-to-deploy loop actually feels in practice.
