Wokyintosh is a free, open-source macOS dashboard inspired by the classic Macintosh. It combines a large clock and date, local weather, Apple Music and Spotify Now Playing with artwork, plus live CPU, RAM, SSD and network stats. I built it for my Wokyis M5 Retro Dock Station after months of not finding the dashboard I wanted — even among paid apps.

Wokyintosh started with a very specific frustration.
I bought a Wokyis M5 Retro Dock Station for my Mac mini and really liked the hardware, but after several months I still couldn't find the dashboard I wanted for its little display — not even a paid one.
I wanted something simple: a huge clock and date, weather, Apple Music / Spotify Now Playing, artwork, and a few useful system stats, all with a classic Macintosh feel.
So I decided to build it myself.
I'm not an experienced macOS developer, so I used ChatGPT as part of a vibe-coding workflow and learned, tested and debugged the app as I went.
Wokyintosh 1.0 is now free and open source.
I'd especially love feedback on what you'd want in a future settings panel, layout customization, and better support for small secondary displays.
