Hi Product Hunt — I’m Aaron, the independent designer behind Wingman.
I built Wingman because aircraft-tracking apps are usually designed around a phone-sized map. I wanted something more immediate: glance at your wrist, see what is around you and understand the aircraft overhead without reaching for another device.
Wingman includes:
• Live nearby ADS-B traffic centred on your location
• Callsign, aircraft type, altitude, speed, heading and distance
• ‘What’s That Plane?’ identification
• Flight-number tracking with route, airline, airport codes and ETA
• Fast-jet and military alerts when the available broadcast data supports them
The interface was designed specifically for Apple Watch, with a dark radar-inspired visual system, large glanceable type and controls that work on a small display. It is an informational enthusiast tool, not a navigation or collision-avoidance system.
