War Stories
Famous battles retold as scroll-through comic books
War Stories turns real battles from history into illustrated comic books you read by scrolling. About a dozen so far, from Thermopylae to WWII — each adapted from cited sources, with references listed at the bottom. Writing and sourcing by hand, art AI-generatedin a cel-shaded style. History, without the drytextbook.
Hey Product Hunt! 👋
I built War Stories because I love history but hate the way it's usually told. dense paragraphs, dates to memorize, all the drama drained out.
Yet the actual stories are incredible: 21 soldiers holding a fort against thousands, a dead man carrying fake plans that fooled an army, a college professor ordering a bayonet charge when his men ran out of bullets.
So I turned them into illustrated, scroll-through comics. one beat at a time.
Every story is sourced and cited. The writing and art are both AI-generated. I wanted to be upfront about that.
Would love your feedback: does the format feel good? And which battle should I cover next?
Thanks for checking it out 🙏
