WalletFood
Snap your grocery receipt. Never waste food again.
WalletFood è l'app anti-spreco che fotografa lo scontrino, registra la spesa in automatico, ti avvisa prima della scadenza e suggerisce ricette con ciò che hai. Gratis su iOS e Android.
Hi Product Hunt 👋
I'm Calogero, a solo developer from Sicily. I built WalletFood because I kept throwing away
food I'd forgotten I had — yogurt behind the milk, vegetables in the bottom drawer. Every
app I tried asked me to type in each item by hand. I never lasted more than three days.
So I flipped it: the receipt already knows what you bought. Take a photo of it, and
WalletFood reads it, logs your groceries with their expiry dates, and tells you what needs
eating before it goes bad. When something is about to expire, it suggests a recipe with what
you already have.
It's free, works on iOS and Android, and speaks 8 languages. There's no ads and no
data selling — receipt photos aren't even stored on the server, only the items you choose
to keep.
I'd love your honest feedback, especially on the receipt scanning: it's the hardest part and
the one I keep improving. What would make you actually stick with an app like this?
