waboom

Ship WhatsApp messages in one API call

Waboom turns any WhatsApp number into a REST API. Scan a QR code, get an instance, start sending — no Meta Business verification, no template approval, no waiting weeks to say hello to a customer. Send text and media, receive incoming messages, and get delivery status through signed webhooks. Every instance is isolated with its own token, so one API key per client or per app. Self-hosted and built on Baileys, so your conversations stay on your infrastructure. Free to run. Ship it today.

I built Waboom by accident. I was working on Gemmix, a management app for jewelry stores, and it needed to send WhatsApp messages — order ready, repair done, the usual. So I went to the Meta Cloud API and hit a wall: business verification, message templates waiting for approval, a phone number I couldn't reuse. Weeks of paperwork to send a sentence to a customer who was already asking for it. So I wrapped WhatsApp in the API I wanted in the first place. Scan a QR code, get an instance with its own token, POST a message. Incoming messages and delivery receipts come back as signed webhooks. One instance per client, so it works for multi-tenant apps. Being straight with you: this is built on Baileys, not the official Cloud API. It's the right tool for your own number, your own clients, and conversations people asked for — not for cold-blasting strangers. If you need Meta's blessing for mass marketing, Waboom isn't it. What's the first thing you'd wire it to?
