I built Tapedeck because I wanted a voice recorder I could actually trust with long recordings.
Most recording apps only finalize the file when you stop. Tapedeck takes a different approach: it continuously saves playable audio to disk while you record. If the app crashes or your battery dies, what was already recorded is still there.
I also wanted it to stay private. There’s no account, and transcription runs directly on the device.
Recording, autosave and crash recovery are free with no time limit. I’d love to hear what you think.
