I started building VocaNum because most language apps are very good at giving you lessons, but they rarely answer a much simpler question: how many English words do I actually know? That became the core idea behind VocaNum. Instead of trying to teach grammar, speaking, listening, and vocabulary at the same time, VocaNum focuses entirely on vocabulary. It measures what you know, tracks what becomes uncertain or forgotten, and uses that information to decide what you should practice next. We also built a free web vocabulary test so you can try the core idea without installing anything. I’m especially interested in feedback on the measurement itself: does the estimate feel believable, what would you want to see in the final report, and what would make you trust the result more?
