Virtual Diwali Mela
Explore an Indian Diwali fair with friends, in your browser
Experience an Indian Diwali mela from anywhere: explore a 3D fair, ride attractions, play stall games, light virtual fireworks and meet friends in shared rooms. Virtual Mela runs in a browser and is free to explore, with optional paid shop, ad-board and creator-screen placements. Built for people in India and those celebrating far from home.
Hi everyone, I’m Akshay, the maker of Virtual Mela.
I wanted to recreate the feeling of walking through an Indian Diwali fair—not just browsing a festival storefront. The public build brings together illuminated streets, stall games, rides, fireworks and shared rooms for friends, including people celebrating far from India.
I’m building this with AI-assisted development, React, Three.js and Cloudflare. It is early, and the biggest work now is making movement, loading and interactions feel better across devices. Exploring is free; shop, ad-board and creator-screen bookings are optional.
If you try it, I’d especially appreciate your device/browser and one specific thing that felt confusing or slow. Thanks for taking a look!
