Hey, I'm Máté, I built Vireo because AI produces a lot of markdown locally, but reading and editing .md was a pain. Also every markdown editor I tried eventually grew a subscription, a cloud account, or an Electron shell (meaning it was annoyingly slow). Vireo is none of those: native Swift, your files stay on your Mac, MIT licensed, free forever. Happy to answer questions about the build (fair warning: it uses TextKit 1 and a layout-manager trick to hide syntax markers - happy to go deep).
