Hey Product Hunt! 👋 We’re back with Vidrip, and a lot has changed since we first launched.

The idea behind Vidrip is still ridiculously simple: sending someone a funny video is way better when you can actually see their reaction.

Not “😂.”
Not “lol.”
Their actual reaction.

Vidrip captures your friend’s face while they watch the video you sent. The laugh they couldn’t hold in, the “WTF” stare, the secondhand embarrassment, all of it.

And then it keeps going. Reactions can get reactions, turning one video into a whole chain of people reacting to each other. No comment sections. No typing. Just faces, videos, and whatever chaos happens next.

Since our first Product Hunt launch, my co-founder and I have kept building, learning, breaking things, fixing them, and rethinking what Vidrip could be.

Now we’re relaunching with a much better version of the app, and we’d love to put it back in front of this community.

We’re live on iOS and Android, and we’re still building fast! So if you try it, tell us what you love, what you hate, what’s confusing, and what you think we absolutely need to build next.

And if Vidrip gets a genuine laugh out of you… well, hopefully someone catches it. 😏

Who hunted Vidrip?

Vidrip was hunted by Immanuel Phillips. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
