I’m Sagar, the maker of Viahourly.
I built Viahourly because I got tired of one thing that seems to come with every freelance project: spending more time discussing the work than actually doing it.
As a freelancer/agency owner, the usual process looked something like this:
“Can you build a website?”
→ Scope the project
→ Write a proposal
→ Estimate hours
→ Negotiate the price
→ Start working
→ Scope changes
→ More discussions
→ Somehow the “2-week project” is still going a month later 😅
And on the other side, clients often had a different problem: “Do I really need to pay a fixed project fee when I only need a few hours of help?”
So we asked: what if professional work worked like booking time?
