Hey Product Hunt. VanReceipts is a job costing app for tradespeople: electricians, plumbers, HVAC techs, one-van contractors.
The problem: every estimating and invoicing tool tells a tradesperson what a job SHOULD cost. Almost nothing tells them what it ACTUALLY cost, because the actual costs are a pile of receipts in the door pocket of the van and hours nobody wrote down. Margins are discovered at tax time, a year too late.

So VanReceipts starts from the receipt. You scan it from the front seat, on-device OCR reads the total and every line item (no upload, receipts are your business data), and it matches the cost to the right job using where and when you scanned. Log your hours at your rate and every job shows live net profit. For badly faded thermal receipts there is an optional cloud AI itemization step, off by default, opt-in per receipt.
A few honest limitations: iOS only for now, and it is deliberately NOT accounting software. It answers one question, "did this job make money", and pairs with whatever bookkeeping tool you already use.
