I built TypeFast because typing tests are fun, but competitive leaderboards get messy fast.
One of the biggest challenges has been bots and automated tools. With browser automation, MCP and computer-use agents getting better, it’s surprisingly easy to fake a fast score if the leaderboard only trusts what happens in the browser.
So a big part of building TypeFast has been figuring out how to keep the leaderboard competitive without punishing genuinely fast typists.
We’re working on server-verified runs, typing-pattern analysis, bot detection and stronger verification for suspicious or exceptional scores — while keeping normal runs frictionless.
The idea is simple:
Type the paragraph.
Get your WPM.
Claim your rank.
Prove you’re actually fast.
