Hi Product Hunt 👋
We built Tributly around a simple question: if advertisers pay for our attention, why shouldn't we get a share of that value?
Online advertising is everywhere, but the economics have barely changed for users. Platforms monetize attention, advertisers pay for it, and the person actually providing that attention gets nothing.
So we started building Tributly.
Our first product is simple: install Tributly, browse as usual, and see a small, non-intrusive ad strip. Advertisers pay for verified impressions, and we share up to 50% of that revenue with the user.
But while building it, we noticed something even more interesting.
AI made us wait again.
We ask ChatGPT and other AI tools a question, then spend a few seconds waiting while the answer is generated. At the same time, many of us are now paying monthly subscriptions for these tools.
That led us to the next evolution of Tributly: using those natural waiting moments as a new advertising surface.
Our goal isn't to turn browsing into a job or promise “passive income.” It's much simpler: help people offset the cost of AI and other digital subscriptions through attention they're already giving.
Today, Tributly is live for web browsing. Next, we're working on bringing the same model into AI experiences.
