Hi everyone, Senne here. I built Transita because I kept watching the same conversation play out on r/IWantOut: "which country should I move to?" → either a wall of gov.uk links or "depends on your situation lol". The quiz is 8 questions. From your citizenship, age, education, work, savings, and timeline it ranks every visa across 8 destination countries (US, Canada, UK, Australia, Germany, Spain, Netherlands, Portugal). Free for the top match. $9 one-time unlocks the full document checklist, every match with notes, and per-factor points calculators (AU SkillSelect, CA CRS, UK Skilled Worker, DE Chancenkarte, NZ SMC). What I'm proudest of on the data side: every visa entry is verified weekly against the official government source via a cron that fetches the canonical URL, hashes the content, and detects drift. When the page changes, an LLM (Claude Haiku) extracts updated facts and validates them against typed gates, cosmetic changes auto-apply, eligibility changes get flagged for human review. Source URL recovery via web_search when a gov.uk page 404s. 74 visas, ~4 transient outages per week. Tech stack for the curious: Next.js 15, Neon Postgres, Drizzle, Anthropic API, deployed on Vercel, PostHog for analytics. The matching logic is ~3k lines of typed code with no LLM in the hot path (the LLM only runs in the data-verification cron and the optional explain-my-situation hook). Three things I'd love feedback on: 1. Where would you expect a tool like this NOT to be useful? (Currently weak: under-25 working-holiday-only users, family relocation with non-EU partner.) 2. Is the $9 one-time-instead-of-subscription pricing reading right to you? 3. What countries should I add next? Top requests so far: NZ, Ireland, Japan. Free for everyone today. Happy to take any question on the data, the build, or the GTM.

Who hunted Transita?

Transita was hunted by Senne Bels. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
