Trace
The 5-minute tech brief for builders
Trace turns the day’s AI and tech news, launches, open-source projects, and technical conversations into one clear brief with takeaways and source links. Pro also gives your AI agent read-only access to the same live signal.
Hey Product Hunt, I’m Tarun, maker of Trace.
I built Trace because staying current in tech had become a job of its own. I was bouncing between Hacker News, GitHub, X, videos, newsletters, and product launches, then reading the same story five times.
Trace gives builders one short daily brief: grouped news, useful projects and tools, real technical discussions, key takeaways, and the original sources when you want to go deeper.
This relaunch also adds Trace for Agents. Pro users can connect an agent through MCP or HTTPS, so it can pull a structured current brief instead of starting from generic web search. Your own agent or bot can then deliver that briefing to Telegram, Discord, Slack, WhatsApp, or wherever you work.
I’d love feedback on two things:
1. What source or signal do you wish Trace covered better?
2. If you use an AI agent, where would you want it to deliver your daily tech brief?

Who hunted Trace?
Trace was hunted by Tarun Tomar. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
