I built Tonemara because "match this photo's colours" is a thing every photographer and video editor wants, and the existing routes are either manual skill (tone curves by hand), someone else's fixed looks, or tools that want your images on their server.
How it works: you drop two images — a reference whose colours you like, and one of yours. Tonemara fits the colour transform between them in a perceptual colour space, entirely in your browser. There is no upload endpoint — open the network inspector while you use it; the only request you'll ever see is the license check. No account, no tracking, no cookies.
What you get: the preview is free and unlimited. A $9 one-time license (no subscription) unlocks two files: a 33×33×33 .cube 3D LUT that reproduces the computed transform exactly (loads in DaVinci Resolve and anything else that takes 3D LUTs), and a Lightroom-compatible .xmp preset.
The honest part: Lightroom presets mathematically can't express every colour transform — anyone claiming otherwise is overselling. So Tonemara fits the closest tone-curve + white-balance + HSL settings and measures the residual, telling you "close match" or "approximate" for your specific image pair before you buy. You can even preview exactly what the preset will look like versus the exact LUT, with a toggle.
What it's not: it's not AI. It's classical colour statistics — histogram matching in a perceptual space with some careful regularisation. That's why it's fast, deterministic, and runs on your device.
Current limits, plainly: sRGB, display-referred images (JPEG/PNG/WebP) — it's not for log footage, and Lightroom Mobile support is in progress.
