TK-mac
A Task Manager for macOS with real control
A simpler Task Manager for macOS built for users who want full control over their system without the clutter and confusion of traditional monitoring tools. Open the main dashboard for a clean overview of your Mac’s performance, or use the menu bar for quick actions when you need faster control.
After switching from Windows, I really missed how simple the Windows Task Manager felt compared to the built in Activity Monitor. So I built my first macOS app, TK mac, to bring that simplicity back with a few things I personally felt were missing. The goal was simple. Not just show stats, but actually help you take action when your Mac slows down.
I also tried a few third party tools. Some were great at showing detailed system stats, while others focused more on controlling apps. But I often felt like I had to switch between different tools or deal with features I didn’t really need. With TK mac, I wanted to keep things simple and bring monitoring, control, and useful insights together in one place.
Here are some of the things it can do:
• View system info and export it as a PDF • Monitor CPU, memory, disk, display and network in real time • See top apps using your system resources • Pause, restart, or force quit apps, or close all apps at once • Track system, app and security logs with CSV export and date filters • Monitor your Mac remotely from your phone on the same network
Some advanced features:
• 60 second performance sampling with graph view and PDF export • System diagnostics for the last 60 seconds • Easy, normal and pro modes based on how much control you want • Clear grouping of apps and background processes
There is also a menu bar for quick access so you can monitor and take actions without opening the main app. I already have 20+ users trying TK-mac, with a few early paying customers, and I’m actively improving it based on their feedback.
Would really love to hear what you think and what you would expect from a Task Manager for macOS.

TK-mac was hunted by John. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
