Timeline Visualizer

Turn your Google Maps Timeline into a travel video

Timeline Visualizer turns the Timeline.json you export from Google Maps into an animated travel video — right in your browser, nothing is uploaded. What's different: • 100% client-side: your location history never leaves your device • 9:16 vertical MP4 with music, ready for Reels/TikTok • Real route, moving marker, date + distance counters, final zoom-out • Free, no app install, six languages • Optional $2.99 one-time Pro (map styles, recap card, custom markers), no subscription

Hi Product Hunt! I made Timeline Visualizer after coming back from a trip and realizing Google Maps had quietly recorded the whole route — but there was no nice way to turn it into something shareable. You export Timeline.json from Google Maps, drop it in, pick a date range and music, and get a 9:16 travel video: your real route animating on a map, distance ticking up, and a zoom-out of the whole trip at the end. Two things I cared about most: it runs entirely in your browser (the file is never uploaded — location history is sensitive), and it needs no app install. The core is free; a small one-time Pro adds map styles and custom markers, no subscription. Would love feedback — especially on what map styles or export formats you'd want next.
