My wife's job required her to watch tons of video content after hours, which really ate into our time together. So I built a simple CLI tool and started generating summaries for her manually.
We later divorced, and to keep my mind busy I went all-in on turning that tool into TimeKeeper. While testing with friends and family, everyone noticed the same thing: when you strip away the charisma and emotions from a video, you're left with surprisingly dry information. But that's exactly the point - they got what they needed to know and saved hours.
The voice message feature has a different origin. I'm sure everyone has that one friend (hopefully not you!) who sends 5-minute voice messages that could've been 3 sentences. We love our friends, but sometimes it's easier to just forward it to a bot and get the essence in seconds.
