My girlfriend moved to Bangkok for a semester abroad. The day she flew out she handed me a glass jar full of folded love notes, one to open whenever I missed her. It's the best gift anyone has given me. I wanted to give her one too, but I only thought of it after she gave me hers, and there was no time to fill a jar before she left. So I built her a digital one instead: a shared jar on a webpage that we both write notes into, each one sealed until the other person opens it. It grew from there. You can set a countdown to any date that matters. For us it's for when I travel to Thailand to visit her. There are questions you both answer, favorites, a scrapbook that every opened note collects into, and a drawing you can add to any note. You can export the scrapbook too, the layout is built so that if you print it, each note cuts out cleanly and you can paste it into a real, physical scrapbook. A few things I kept deliberate: no email required to start, it's free, and it's only ever two people. No feed, nothing public. Happy to answer anything.
