I built The Classic Press because I was tired of reading the same news in the same voice every day. What if today's headlines were written by Kafka? Or Twain? Or Emily Dickinson?
Every morning an AI pipeline:
Scrapes international news (10 RSS feeds)
Picks a classic author from a pool of more than 200 (Hemingway, Austen, Dostoevsky…)
Writes today's news in that author's voice, as one cohesive literary text
Generates a woodcut-style illustration
Publishes to the site
The result: Kafka turned EU bureaucracy into a corridor with no exit. Mark Twain called Congress "a collection of men who would be unemployable in any other field." Agatha Christie solved a geopolitical crisis as a murder mystery.
It's fully automated but human-reviewed
Tech stack: Node.js, Claude (Opus for writing, Sonnet for QA), Open-Meteo for weather, Cloudflare Pages, Listmonk for email, Midjourney for illustrations.
