Tarjome
Translate Persian & Finglish, with word-by-word breakdowns!
Tarjome goes beyond standard translation: it detects Finglish (Persian written in Latin letters) automatically, handles the informal spellings people actually use in texts and social media, translates instantly, and breaks down each word individually so you understand the language, not just the meaning. Great for language learners! Built by a non-Persian speaker who wanted to actually understand the language, not just translate it. Free, no sign-up needed.
Hi Product Hunt! 👋
I built Tarjome because I have a Persian partner and kept struggling to truly understand the language, not just get translations, but actually grasp what each word means and does.
Existing tools handle straightforward Persian well enough, but two things were always missing for me:
1. Finglish (Persian written in Latin letters), the way Iranians actually text and post on social media. No mainstream translator handles it reliably.
2. Word-by-word breakdown: type "cheshmat ro bokhor" and most translators will just give you something like "eat your eyes" and leave you completely confused. Tarjome tells you it's actually an expression of endearment ("I could eat your eyes") and then breaks down exactly what each word contributes to that meaning.
I also use it a lot for Persian song lyrics, which is where the breakdown really shines.
It's completely free, no sign-up needed. Would love honest feedback, especially from Persian speakers on translation accuracy!
Thanks!🙏
