Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm Demi, one of the makers of TapVid.

Before TapVid, I spent years making videos for our own products. It was always the worst part of shipping.

Making a good motion video used to mean one of two things: wrestling with a timeline in After Effects, or rolling the dice on an AI video tool where every small fix means regenerating the whole clip. Both are slow. Both punish you for not being a motion designer.

So we built TapVid, an AI-native motion video studio where you create and edit entirely by chatting.

A few things that set it apart:

  1. Describe it, and it's done. Tell TapVid your idea in plain words and get a publish-ready motion video in minutes. No scripts, no assets, no editing experience. If you can describe it, you can make it.

  2. Real motion video, with design taste. TapVid doesn't render realistic footage like most AI video tools. It creates designed motion graphics: animated scenes, kinetic type, smooth transitions. The kind of video you'd actually want to publish.

  3. Refine by chatting, down to a single element. Zero in on any element, a title, a clip, a caption, and change just that. No timeline, no regenerating the whole thing. Change one thing, keep the rest.

It works for product demos, explainers, tutorials, marketing clips, basically anything where you move fast and need something polished at the end.

We're in open alpha and it's completely free. Product Hunt, you're early. Come make something and tell us what breaks. Your feedback is how we figure out where to take this.

Who hunted TapVid?

TapVid was hunted by Demi Tan. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
