I built TaleLoom because I kept running into the same wall with AI character platforms: they're great for chatting, but terrible for creating stories.
After months of roleplaying on Character.AI and similar platforms, I realized I was spending more time fighting the AI's limitations than enjoying the story. It would forget major plot points. I couldn't explore "what if" scenarios without losing my current story. And I was stuck in a single linear chat thread — you can't really direct a story that way.
So I built TaleLoom to be story-first instead of chat-first:
Branching story mode — At each story beat, the AI generates choices. Pick one, and the story branches. You can see every branch on the Story Tree and explore paths you didn't take. It's like directing a movie where you call "action" on every scene.
Automatic memory — Every 10 messages, the AI extracts key events, relationship changes, and emotional states. No manual maintenance. Your characters just remember.
World-building — Define your world's rules, lore, and locations. The AI respects your world logic.
