Hi Product Hunt! I built Tako to make it easier to see what’s buried in project folders.
Images, videos, old versions, and unused exports can end up scattered across layers of subfolders. The files are still there, but finding something means opening folders one by one.
Tako brings those images and videos into one view. Choose a folder on your Mac and browse, search, and preview its contents—including subfolders—without importing files into another library or reorganizing them.
For images, you can crop them or use them to create Share Cards. Image exports are saved separately, keeping your originals intact. Videos can be viewed and previewed; video editing is not currently available.
Tako is currently in beta. Basic browsing of your first 100 media files is free. A US$1 Beta Pass gives you three months of access from first activation, with no automatic renewal. It doesn’t include a license for the full release.
