I'm Luke from Tag. Our team is excited to bring you a new way to manage your digital identity and your social circles.
The idea for Tag came during my ~3 years abroad. I consistently found myself with the problem of not having a great way to connect or stay in touch. Instead;
- We connected on 1 of 8 platforms, which varied person to person (fragmentation).
- Some people left certain platforms or changed their details (lost contact)
- People that shared only their name and number had no way of building social value (missed opportunities)
Will adding another app to the mix only add to the problem?
Current platforms do a create job at enabling users to post content and engage with each other within the platform. Tag is designed to compliment this by enabling people to connect in a single place and then discover each other in the other places they're currently hanging out online, while keeping all the details up-to-date.
How about those digital business cards?
We tried the apps (not the cards)! We found that many of the features are great for business professionals but aren't really useful in non-professional settings.
As we're travellers we decided to develop a 'Social Card' that says "Hey, here's a bit about me. Here's how we can get in touch!"
We've been building Tag from places around the world in NextJS as a Progressive Web App. To celebrate our product launch you can create a free account and start tagging today!
