Superhound
The ultrafast Spotlight alternative for Mac
Spotlight is slow, and half the time it can't find the app you just installed. Superhound takes its place. Press Cmd + Space, type a few letters, and you're there. It opens apps, files, and settings, does quick math, finds emoji, and keeps your clipboard history. No plugins, no setup, nothing new to learn. If Raycast feels like too much, this is the simple one. Free to try.
Hi everyone, PG here 👋 I'm the maker of Superhound
I got tired of Spotlight. It's slow to show results, and too often it just can't find the app I'm looking for.
Raycast fixed that, but it came with a lot I didn't need: extensions, a store, settings for everything. I only wanted to open things fast.
So I made Superhound. It sits on Cmd + Space, right where Spotlight was, so there's nothing new to learn. Type a few letters and hit Return.
It also handles the small stuff you'd normally open another app for:
Quick math and unit conversions
Emoji
Clipboard history
Sleep, lock screen, empty trash
It forgives typos and gets better the more you use it. And it's light, so you won't notice it running.
It's free to try with everything included. If you like it, it's $15 once, for 3 Macs.
This week, use PH10 to get it for $5
I'd love to hear what you think, and what you wish Spotlight did better.
