StorageDaddy is a free, open-source native Mac storage analyzer for developers. It maps folders, build outputs, dependency stores, caches and recognized Claude/Codex session archives, then keeps cleanup candidates reviewable before anything moves to Trash. Scanning stays local and the native app has no telemetry.
I built StorageDaddy because a large folder is not automatically junk. General disk maps are useful, but developer storage needs more context: which project owns this build output, whether a dependency store is replaceable, whether a cache is active, and whether local AI sessions should be archived before cleanup. The current beta is native, Apple-silicon only, free and MIT licensed. I would especially value feedback on the classifications and what evidence you would need before trusting a storage tool.
